Arthur L. Marshall, 72, passed away on September 30, 2017. He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years (September 30, 1967), Leanne (nee: Hodge) Marshall; son, Arthur W. (Nicole) Marshall of Charlton; daughter, Amy Lynn  (Thomas) Sunshine of Liberty, SC; and cherished grandson, Wyatt Cooper Robyck. Art is also survived by his brother, James (Rose) Marshall of Schenectady and several nieces and nephews. He was born in Schenectady, NY on July 8, 1945, to the late Arthur and Lucienne Marquis Marshall.

Art was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School’s class of ‘64, and received his A.A.S. in mechanical technology from Hudson Valley Community College. He was employed by General Electric for 35 years as an instrumentation specialist in Power Generation. Art was happiest when spending time with his wife, their children, and grandson. He was an avid outdoorsman his entire life and enjoyed traveling across the country. He was an accomplished carpenter and woodworker; his hands were always working on something meticulously.  A talented hobbyist, Art enjoyed restoring antique farm tractors and participating in competitive tractor pulls.

He will be forever remembered as a kind, generous, and gentle spirit with a loving soul, and will be missed deeply by his loved ones. His family was with Art in his final hours and will cherish this poignant spiritual goodbye as they honor him privately. Those who wish to remember Art may do so by making memorial donations in his name to the Community Hospice of Montgomery County, 246 Manny Corners Rd., Amsterdam, NY 12010.  Online condolences may be expressed at glenvillefuneralhome.com
