Born in Rochester, NY, she was the daughter of the late Carl Costanzo and Beatrice Walker. Gloria grew up in Watertown, graduating Watertown High School in 1943.  She moved to Schenectady and worked as a clerk for the Navy Dept. at the I.G.E. building, then stayed in Schenectady to attend Nursing school for one year. She moved to NYC to attend the MANDL X-Ray School and became a technician.  She worked for Dr. Ben Henry Rose in the Bronx.  She returned to Schenectady and worked for Dr. Cirincione, Dermatologist then moved on to work for Dr. Philip Parillo in nearby Scotia.  It was there she met and married Donald on July 2, 1949 raising three sons, Edward J. Kritz of Clifton Park, Mark J.
