When I first met Laurie at Ballston Spa CC I liked her immediately. She was always smiling and a true sport in competition. I also have visited her and Rayette at Galway Lake and we often spoke of the lake we both loved. Rest easy my friend, you will be missed.

At Galway Lake, I watched Laurie grow up as the youngest in her family. Always the outgoing tomboy, she swam, sailed and paddled her way around the lake. Her demeanor was always charged with energy and enthusiasm. A joyful being, she will be missed.
