Obituary of Louis Ahola

Louis Ahola passed away suddenly on March 4, 2023 while vacationing in Costa Rica.  He was born in Urbana, Illinois on December 3, 1985 to Mark and Debra (Price) Ahola.  Their family moved to Niskayuna, New York in 1995.  

Lou graduated from Niskayuna High School and Stonybrook University.  He worked as a senior software engineer for Jahnel Group.  Lou’s many passions included his dogs Quinn and Maverick, making music, mountain biking, deejaying, gaming, scuba diving, soccer, softball, chess, theater and recently, bowling.  He deeply loved his fiancé Amanda Moffitt and her family.  

Lou is survived by his mother and father (Deb and Mark Ahola), fiance (Amanda Moffitt), grandmother (Joann Hundt), uncles (Jack and David Ahola), and cousins (Jacob and Eric Ahola, Megan Kubera, Kristyn Karasch).  

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2023 from 12-pm-3pm at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Road, Glenville. A memorial service will immediately follow at the funeral home.
