Obituary of Mary McAuliffe

Mary A. McAuliffe SchenectadyOn October 25, 2014, Mary A. McAuliffe passed away peacefully at Ellis Hospital with her family by her side. She courageously fought illness for more than a decade, while being lovingly cared for in her home by family. Mary was born in Schenectady on November 23, 1924, the daughter of the late John and Rose Vinciguerra Vincitore. She married Daniel H. McAuliffe on June 6, 1948. A graduate of Nott Terrace High School, she was a payroll clerk for General Electric and Draper School. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, happiest when caring for her family. Mary was predeceased by brother, Archie (Mary) Vincitore and brother-in-law, Anthony Ciampino. She is survived by her husband; children, Kathleen (Chet) Bieganski, Daniel E. McAuliffe and John S. McAuliffe; grandchildren, Jonathan Bieganski, Daniel A. McAuliffe, Marianne (Chris) Poindexter, Nicole (Elliot) Edwards, R. Maxwell McAuliffe; great-grandchild, Penelope Poindexter; siblings, Nancy Phillips, Michael (Eleanor) Vincitore, Rose Ciampino; and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, October 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Saint Cyril Cemetery, Duanesburg Rd. in Rotterdam.
