Obituary of Leo Lolik

Leo Lolik, 92, passed away January 2 at Ellis Hospital with family at his side. Leo was born in High Mills, NY, the son of the late Peter and Antonia (Pezik) Lolik. He attended local schools and worked for a while on his family's farm, on Lolik Lane in Glenville. Leo served time in the Navy that allowed him to travel around the world. Returning to the Glenville area, he married Ann Marie Slover in 1947 and they resided on the farm property, ultimately he and each of his siblings purchased parts of the farm, allowing Leo and Ann Marie to settle on Spring Road where they built their home and subsequently raised their family. Leo worked as a steam fitter for G. E. in Schenectady, retiring in 1984. He and Ann Marie enjoyed spending time with their family and growing strawberries. His beloved wife Ann Marie Lolik, his son Ronald Wayne Lolik, as well as his daughter Linda Albert predeceased Leo. He is survived by his devoted sons: Randy S. Lolik (Wendy) and Robert L. Lolik (Cathy); seven cherished grandchildren as well as six cherished great grandchildren. Several Nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held on Thursday January 8 at 11 am from the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd, East Glenville. Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours at the funeral home from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday January 7. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ballston Lake, NY 12019. Memorial contributions in Leo's name may be made to the Thomas Corners Fire Department, 5 Airport Road, Scotia, NY 12302.
